Update-13 months

Just wanted to give a little update on Cooper. He has been walking everywhere for about a month now. He loves children and will walk up to any child he sees while we are out and give them a big hug. Older children will usually look at him in disbelief. Last week at the library, his hug was returned by a kiss on the head by a little boy.

Cooper is still going to the potty regularly. We found a neat portable potty about a month ago at Babies R Us that we take with us in the van. We can pop it open and sit him on it, and he will go.

We found out that Cooper was allergic to peanuts and dairy at 6 months. He and I have had to avoid this in our diets since I am nursing. We recently found out that Cooper is also allergic to eggs. It has been a little bit of a challenge to find foods that we can eat. Cooper has also developed asthma and has started using an inhaler that he absolutely hates. He had his first nebulizer treatment today.

Cooper's spoken words:
hat
hi
nana-banana
momma
dadda
eye
GiGi

Cooper began signing milk at 3 1/2 months, but he did not sign another word until 6 months. He now loves to sign. He is daily adding new signs to his vocabulary. We love that he can sign because he can tell us what he wants which cuts down on his frustration.
Cooper's signs:
eat
milk
all done or finished
down
ball
phone
potty

Cooper loves to identify body parts and will point to them when we ask him.
Cooper is able to identify:
ears
nose
mouth
eyes-This is his favorite one, and he loves to poke us in the eye and say "eye."
knees
hair
head
