The Cook Family: Summer Fun at the Pool

I am terrible about updating our blog. Olivia Kate is growing fast. She is way bigger than Cooper was at this point. She will be 4 months old on Wednesday. She is a very happy baby and loves to smile and coo all of the time.

This is a picture of her first trip to the pool. She didn't actually get in the pool on this trip, but she looked cute in her swim suit!

Cooper is quite the little swimmer this year. He wears his floaties and goes all over the pool. He does not want any help! Unfortunately, he does not understand the importance of walking and not running around the pool. He slipped and fell and hit his head really hard. The life guard came to the rescue with a bag of ice and a popsicle. We have made two trips to the ER in the past couple of weeks. We thought that Cooper broke his right arm, but he actually dislocated it-it's called nursemaid's elbow. Unfortunately, once you have done this, it is very easy to do it again and again. The doctors say he will outgrow this by the time he is six!!! One week later, Cooper rolled over in his bed and back to the emergency room we went. This time the doctor's attempted to show us how to set his arm the next time this occurs. We are hoping that it won't happen again, but chances are it will.
