Cooper loves to climb. His new thing is to climb into the chair in his room and read books by himself. It amazes me how he has the strength to pull himself up onto things.
Another family pictureMaMa Cooper and Cooper
This was taken on Mother's Day at MaMa and PaPa's house. As you can tell, Cooper was very tired and in need of a nap. He went to sleep shortly after this picture was taken. MaMa was very excited because Cooper can say her name now. Cooper is looking at this post right now saying, "MaMa." He is pointing behind her through the door and saying, "Hat, hat, hat."-PaPa's hats are on the hat rack just inside their bedroom door. He loves to look at PaPa's hats.
Cooper loves to swim in his little pool on the back deck. Unfortunately, he doesn't want to wear his swim shoes for very long, and he gets splinters almost every time we go on the deck.
Cooper is a very independent (strong-willed) little man. He wants to throw his diaper in the trash, pull his own drinks out of the fridge, feed himself, and climb onto tables and chairs. I am convinced if he were a little taller, he would go into the kitchen and fix his own meals. He has a bit of a temper, but thankfully he knows lots of signs and words which cuts down on his frustration. He is daily adding new words to his vocabulary and new signs. He loves to tell us no by shaking his head right before he does something he knows he is not suppose to do. He has an incredible sense of humor and is always laughing. When Walker says, "Who is my baby boy?"-Cooper will proudly pat his chest and smile-it is very cute. He has learned to hold up one finger when you ask him how old he is. He is also very proud of this. Walker still puts Cooper to sleep every night. They read Cooper's favorite book-Biscuit. Cooper holds onto his Curious George and GiGi Puppy. We call these his "babies," and we tell him to go and get his babies when it is time for bed. He runs around until he finds both of them and then goes to the chair in his room ready to read with dadda. Cooper's favorite song is This Little Light of Mine, and he always holds up his light while we sing. Cooper would live outdoors if we would let him. It is definitely his favorite place to be. He goes to the front door every morning signing "please" to go outside. Rainy days are very hard for him. Cooper currently has 11 teeth and a fourth molar on the way. I just recently weaned him on May 5th-his 15 month birthday. I am so thankful that he was able to nurse for 15 months. Well, it is time to go outside and play some more. Cooper has brought me my shoes, so that means it is time to go.
